ベトナムでウェディングドレスを注文する:正直な手引き
実際にいくらかかるのか、何がうまくいかない可能性があるのか、そして誰かに前金を送る前に尋ねるべきこと。
Every month more brides order a gown from Vietnam, and every month the same questions come up in forums. Here are honest answers, including the parts that don't flatter us.
Why it costs so much less
A 312.000.000₫ gown in a US salon is not 312.000.000₫ of fabric and labour. It is a sample you tried on, a shop lease, a stylist's commission, a designer's margin and a distributor's margin. Ordering direct from the atelier removes four of those layers. The lace is the same lace.
What can genuinely go wrong
Measurements. Almost every remote-fitting problem traces back to numbers taken badly at home — a waist measured at the jeans line, a hollow-to-hem taken barefoot when the bride will wear 9cm heels. This is why we cross-check your numbers and ask for a video call when something doesn't add up.
The questions to ask any overseas atelier
Can I see the actual fabric before you cut? Can I see the finished gown on film before I pay the balance? Who is the tailor? Can I video call the floor? If the answer to any of those is vague, keep looking.
Budget for local alterations
Even a perfectly made gown usually needs a small local adjustment — hem and bust are the usual ones. Set aside a little for it. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling.
