Made-to-measure patterning. Full lining. Internal structure that holds the bodice. Real fabric — not a bonded polyester that reads as plastic in photographs. If any of those are missing at this price, the saving is coming out of the gown, not the supply chain.
What genuinely costs more
Hand beading. Long cathedral trains. Heavy silk. Detachable pieces. These are hours and materials, and no supply chain makes them free.
The trap
Photographs on marketplace listings are often not the seller's own gown. Ask for a photo of the actual sample in the actual factory. If they can't produce one in a day, that gown may not exist.
